Getting ready for the yard sale
So for the past 2 years my hubby and I have taken part of the annual 6880 yard sale wich is a 400 mile long yard sale spreading across a few different states one year we made $500 and the last year we made a little over $700 we do this Thursday Friday and Saturday! For more information check here http://www.400mile.com/ the yard sale will be on June 4th - 7th! I have heard of people traveling from all over the united states to do this! I tell you what I have met some wonderful people while doing this and have people return to see what we put out! I have 2 small kids so they come to see what clothing and toys I put out! This year with my son now being a year old we will have tons of baby items and some furniture and all their clothing ect not to mention what me and my dh aquire through the year as my wonderfully neat fanatic hubby married a pac rat who loves goodwill lol! Well the time has come and I am done aquiring junk so my attic is full of treasures for this thing lol and I am crossing my fingers we make some good money as I am wanting to pay some stuff off and hopefully go on a small vacation!!! If you live close by you should really check this sale out I have gotten lots of great stuff me and hubby take turns going "shopping" for a few hours at a time and we always find awesome stuff! Better yet if you live off the highway you should so have a sale your self its wonderful money! We start at around 6 or 7 in the morning and people honestly come till dark!!! Like 7:30 or 8:00 lol! We usually have like 5 or more families in our front yard doing this with us so it makes for fun times all of us hanging out selling stuff!!!!

Kroger deals
Well I did the Kroger daytona deal I bought 20 (yes thats right lol 20) boxes of Totino pizza rolls. On sale for $1.25 then had my .35 off one coupon wich doubled to .70 off so then on top of that I got 3.00 off for each 10 I bought so it went something like this Total before coupons would have been 25.00 then with my .35 cents doubled to .70 makes the total 11.00 and then I got another 6.00 off (3.00 per 10) to make the grand total $5.00 for 20 boxes of these pizza rolls. What will I do with them you ask well my kids and the kids I babysit for love these things for snacks... Already have promiced my sister in law and sisters some too lol so they will get eaten up! Just wanted to share in my good deals!

I found this great blog and she has lots of ideas for really cool frugal things lol. I emailed her and she said that was fine if I used some of her ideas for my blogs so yay lol!
Hanger Clip Chip Clip
When buying pants at retail stores, keep the hanger. (Or better yet, get them from the free box at garage sales or thrift stores)Take a heavy duty pair of scissors (I wouldn't try it with normal ones) and cut off the clips.
Use these clips to clip closed chip bags, etc.
Lemon Juice Microwave Cleaner
Sometimes it pays to read every word that comes in front of you. I was reading all the fine print on the lemon juice bottle as I was making a pie and it said to heat 1/2 cup of lemon juice in the microwave for 3 minutes and then the lemon juice steam will clean the microwave off. I definitely had a great microwave to test this on; I honestly can't remember the last time I cleaned it (is anyone recognizing that I am a horrible house cleaner through these blog posts yet?). If that wasn't the easiest time I have had cleaning the microwave, then I don't remember.Plus, the smell emitting from boiling the lemon juice in the microwave gave the kitchen a wonderful lemon smell that made it seem as if I had cleaned the kitchen with Pine Sol.
Make Your Own Bread Crumbs
I want my bread crumbs to be whole wheat which is healthier than the store bought bread crumbs, plus I always have bread heels left over, so I make my own bread crumbs.When I have a leftover heel, I toast the heels in the toaster once and let them sit out for a day or two until they are nice and hard.
Then I break them up to fit in my tiny food processor.
Process until all is made into fine crumbs.
And pour into kitchen container.
I've bought bread crumbs once (as evidenced by the container), but the heels keep me well supplied. If you want to make a batch to start off with, just spread out a loaf of bread on some baking sheets and bake for awhile on some low temp in the oven, turning them every so often until they are pretty rigid. I then let them sit over night to make sure they are hard.

We love Mini-Wheats. I grew up eating cold cereal for breakfast, and I still do to this day; it's a habit. I have a stack of them, and anytime it goes on sale my stack gets bigger. (I am currently playing with making my own oatmeal to cut down on this cost)
But with Mini-Wheats (and with other brands of cereal), there is always huge amounts of crumbs left over. Up to a quarter cup with these things!!
So, I got to thinking. If I save the leftover cereal crumbs, what could I use it for? Substitute flour! (with some sugar and maple flavoring). So I store the crumbs in a peanut butter jar. It is full in less than 2 weeks.
I have substituted the cereal crumbs for flour in two recipes so far and it works. I spin it through the food processor if I desire (although I have skipped this step with no ill effect) and substitute it for flour in a recipe that is sweet. I have so far put it in my granola bars recipe and they are as yummy as ever. And I have done it in banana bread. It did make the banana bread darker than the normal banana bread usually is, but my hubby gobbled that stuff down faster than I have ever seen him eat banana bread.You could do half flour and half cereal flour, but so far, I have substituted 100% of the flour with leftover cereal flour in these two treats with no ill effect except for the bread looked dark. I am sure it will work in others. I will update this when I test it in other things.

Okay so I went to Walmart and waned to share my good finds that I found for free wtih coupons these may have been listed on other websites but I do not know lol I just happend to stumble across them and find them lolSplenda 50 Ct. pkgs $2.32 I had a $3 off any one size coupon making this free with overageShick ST2 2.00 off any disposable razors coupon they had the 10 pack with 2 bonus for $1.97 making them free with overage (funny thing I bought 20 of these off ebay and was like crap I bought the wrong coupons lol I meant to buy another kind but when I went to walmart I was pleasantly suprized lolTide to go packs .97 cents use 1.00 off any size tide (I know alot of people know about this one but wanted to mention it anyways lol)Also not sure if anyone read my last post but Target had the Kashi cereal bars on sale for 2.75 and there are 2.00 coupons out there making them .75 per box
Mail day
Well alittle while ago I had contacted Smuckers cause I had bought the 4 pack of uncrustables (with the free couopn of coarse lol) any who the pack of 4 was only a pack of 3 so I called (wich I already had planned to do so to see if their product was recalled) and they said they would send me some coupons so today I got 2 free up to 3.00 coupons for any product. These are only $2.89 so thats perfect for me or I can get the 10 pack for $3 and change at walmart not sure wich I will do lol cause my kid loves these.
I also got my sample of Prilosec and $5 coupon wich is good cause my dh uses this and I know they have the 14 pack for like 10-11 dollars plus I bought some free item Prilosec coupons off ebay so I will get him stocked up on those.
I also got some toys r us coupons in the mail with a 10 off 100 dollars and a bunch of others but included was a coupon for a FREE Baby Ganics 2 oz. trial size of all purpose cleaner while supplies last no purchase necessary. (as soon as this snow storm is over I am so there lol) I will also be using the Buy 2 get 1 free Mam paci they had thats all my son takes. Who knew a frugal mama would have the son who takes one of the more higher brand pacis lol Oh well gotta save when I can and Lord knows we go through tons of these babys lol!
Also got my renewel for family fun and for 10 issues its only going to be $5 dollars yay I got the first year or so free so I don't care to pay $5 for anohter year! This is my absolute favorite magazine ever lol!
